Mark has spent over 30 years working in the accountancy profession before making his move to become Head of Finance for Dickson Haslam in 2010.
His time working in the accountancy profession was mainly with North West based practices where he specialised in accountancy and advisory services to small and medium sized enterprises which has included for the last 20 years offering corporate finance advisory services to owner managed businesses including advice in the following areas:
- Company and business purchases, sales and mergers
- Management buy outs
- Company and group restructuring
- Preparation of business plans and financial projections
- The raising of finance, including, for new start ups and expanding businesses
- Vendor, purchaser and bank due diligence
- Corporate investigations
- Business development strategies
- The introduction of accounting and operational systems
In addition to his role heading our own finance team Mark also works very closely with David Southern and our company and commercial team providing advisory work on company transactions something he has done for the past 20 years.
Mark qualified as an ACA (1983), FCA (1994) and CF (2009) (a qualification of expertise in Corporate Finance)
